Dorothy C. Molen, 86, of Mercer Co. KY, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 29, 2015. Dorothy was born June 18, 1929 in Perryville, Ky to the late Oscar Farris and Susan Ella Murphy Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray S. Molen.

Dorothy graduated from Perryville High School in 1947. She retired from the Cricketeer Factory in Harrodsburg, where she was a seamstress.

Dorothy was a member of the United Methodist Church and the John Pruitt Sunday School Class in Danville for many years.

Surviving is a son, William Keith Chambers of Lexington, and a granddaughter, Angela Nichole Chambers of Harrodsburg.

She is also preceded in death by four brothers: Samuel Farris, Virgil, Edward Harlan, and Clarence Cecil Carpenter; also two sisters: Loverta Chandler and Ethel Mae(Sister) Gibson.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Shields officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday, with an additional visitation from 10:30 AM until time of service Thursday.

Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville KY.
