He was a retired school teacher who taught for 29 years in Mulkeytown and Christopher and he was a Pin and Ink artist.
He attended the First Christian Church in Christopher.
Survivors include his children, David Flowers and wife Brenda of Mulkeytown, daughter, Paula Cox and husband Ken of Christopher, and son Larry Flowers and wife Paula of Thompsonville,and son Gary Flowers of Christopher; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild; a sister, Alice West of Benton and a brother, Paul Flowers of Jacksonville, Tenn.; and a special neighbor and friend, Sandy Robinson of Sesser.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; a grandson, Aaron Flowers and a sister, Virginia Steckenrider.
