Zona E. Pyles was born August 9, 1906 in the Dry Hollow community of Wayne County, the daughter of Austin and Nancy Dishman, and departed this life on Friday morning, March 1, 1966, reaching an age of 89 years.

On April 24, 1924 she united in marriage to Lesco Pyles, who passed away on October 7, 1987 and to this 63 year union, nine children survive, five daughters, Zelma Nadine Stinson, Oma Maxine Morris, Alma Christine Dishman, Goldie Simpson, Glenna Upchurch; four sons, Russell, Wendell, Jason and Ernest Pyles. Two children, Grady and Vadie precedes her in death.

Also surviving is one half brother, Estil Dishman; 29 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren, with many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Mrs. Pyles had accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady and became a member of the Sandy Valley Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon with burial in the Pyles Cemetery.
