Dick J. Jackson, 79, of Olney, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.
Dick was born August 16, 1936 in Richland County, Illinois, the son of Walter and Ethel D. (Tracey) Jackson.
Dick volunteered to his country for four years in the US Army, serving mostly in Germany and France from 1956-1958. He was a laborer for AFL-CIO, working the oil fields in several states. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Jackson of Washington, IN; brother, Walter Jackson Jr. and wife Jan of Noble; sisters, Doris Deck, Betty Boulb, and Erma Fulk; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ken Jackson and Jerry Jackson.
