Ikie was born on Oct. 9, 1922 to Hersey and Virginia Wilson. He taught auto mechanics at TSTI, retiring in 1986. After retirement he owned a lawnmower repair service for many years. He loved tinkering in his shop. He married Charlotte Mullins on March 30, 1941, in Sweetwater.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Atchison and husband Tommy of Stanton; one sister, Mary Lynn Aucutt of Snyder; brother-in-law, Lawrence Mullins of Sweetwater; sister-in-law, Polly Boyd of Fort Worth; and special friends, Dan Grimaldo, Alton Pyburn and Manuel Jaramillo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Wilson.
