Thomas was a 1943 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II, aboard the USS Andromeda. He was an avid golfer and a member of Pen Argyl Lodge, F. & A. M. Prior to retiring, he was the manager of Green Pond Country Club, prior to that he was the owner and operator of the Moorestown Hotel, Moorestown, PA and the Stone Bar, Snydersville, PA.
He is survived by his wife, Clara (Amato) Peters of Palm Bay, FL, two sons, Thomas J. Peters, IV, and his wife Helen of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Timothy J. Peters and his wife Margaret of Easton, four grandchildren, Daniel Johnson and his wife Patti, Megan Michael and her husband Chad, Debra Smith and her husband David and Tyler Peters and his wife Rachel, and six great grandchildren, Justin and Jacob Smith, Xander and Harper Michael, and Treyson and Cicilia Peters. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette (Parsons) Peters, and a brother, Harold Roberts.
Funeral services will be announced at a later date with interment in Wind Gap Cemetery, Plainfield Township. The Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, Pen Argyl is in charge of arrangements.
