Hattie Jo Brooks was married first to Eugene David Smith. She was the sister of Harold "Soap" Brooks of Jacksboro, and Melva Lavelle Henderson of Jacksboro.

MINERAL WELLS, Texas -- Hattie Jo Craig, 74, a retired telephone operator, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002 at a Granbury hospital.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday in McAdams Cemetery in Palo Pinto County.

Mrs. Craig was born May 20, 1928, in Palo Pinto County, and moved to Mineral Wells in 2000. She was the daughter of Andrew Melvin "Andy" and Annavell Hay Brooks.

Survivors: Brothers, Roy Brooks of Mineral Wells and Jerry Brooks of Lipan; sister, Beatrice Bodine of Hugo, Okla.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
