Ellen Bickmore Thomas Anderson, 91, a longtime resident of Salt Lake City died December 30, 1995, at the Davis North Medical Center.

She was born June 29, 1904, in Logan, Utah, a daughter of James Richard and Martha Maria Bickmore Thomas. She married Andy Harold Anderson June 28, 1930, in Logan, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died March 13, 1968.She was a member of the LDS Church and taught in various church organizations. She was a member of the Sorosis Society at Utah State, the DUP, and a sewing club of special friends while she resident in Salt Lake City. She taught at Washington, Uintah and Garfield schools. She was an accomplished artist and craftswoman.

Ellen will always be remembered for her sense of humor and wit and her loving and generous ways. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Anderson Poelman of Brigham City, and Diane Anderson Mariah of Bodega Bay, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Kathryn Poelman Martin, Mark Andrew Poelman, Lloyd Anderson Poelman, Karl Eugene Beitel, Rebecca Poelman Dilg, Kent Anderson Poelman, Jeannette Poelman Zobell, Jessica Beitel; and 16 grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Olsen-Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City. Friends may call Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at 3 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Salt Lake City.
