Edna Dixon-Call, 66, of McCune, died at 9:00 A.M., Saturday, November 28, 2015 at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born June 17, 1949 at Charlotte, NC, a daughter of Raymond Eugene and Addie Mae (Jones) Branham. She moved to Altamont at an early age with her family and graduated from the Labette County Community High School.

On May 16, 1967 she was united in marriage to Jerry Dixon, Sr. at Altamont. The couple then moved to Parsons where she began employment at Swift and Co.. In 1977 she began working at the former Heritage Nursing Home. She continued employment with the Elmhaven Nursing Homes until her retirement in 2007. She and Mr. Dixon later divorced.

She married Don E. Call on June 18, 2005 at Rural McCune. He survives of the home.

She enjoyed gambling, going to casinos, Bingo and Yahtzee, reading and gardening.

In addition to her husband, survivors include: one son and daughter in-law – Jerry and Tina Dixon, Dennis, KS; two daughters – Ruth Haile, and her husband, Mike, Parsons, KS; Addie Dixon, Ft. Scott, KS; Seven grandchildren – Amanda Haile, Michael Haile, Jr., Dalton Dixon, Alyssa Dixon, Allie Maffei, Taylor Bargen, Travis Lee Hallam, Jr.; two great-grandchildren – Jase and Dirk Blackburn; two brothers – Eddie Branham, Waco, TX; Raymond Branham, El Paso, TX; one sister – Betty Hays, California. She was preceded in death by one brother – Walter E. Branham and two sisters – Patricia Bush and Carol Hays.

A private graveside will be held later with Joe Fuentez officiating. The family will receive friends from7:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening, December 3, 2015 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
