Born in a sod house to William L. and Margaret Yarger, she was the eldest of eight children. Attended schools in Rexford, KS and graduated from Normal Teacher Training in Colby, KS. She taught school in Rexford, KS until her marriage to Frederick A. Williams on May 22, 1913. They had nine children. Following WWII, the family moved to Denver CO where she lived until her death in 1978. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She is survived by eight children, thirty three grandchildren and several grand grandchildren.
