Sandra Lowery, age 55, Lawton, died Friday, November 27, 2015 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 8, 1959 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
She grew up in Wichita Falls and was a graduate of Hirschi High School. Sandra was a hair stylist for many years in both Texas and Oklahoma. She was married to John Lowery in Wichita Falls in 1980. Together they had a daughter, Cheryse Ann Lowery, their “girl of the world”, and their world revolved around her. Sandra and Cheryse moved to Lawton in 1991. Cheryse was very active and Sandra was involved in all her activities including PTA and the KK Kickers. Sandra was also very active with the Lawton Food Bank.
She is survived by her mother, Juanita Flores, Wichita Falls, Texas; sisters, Sara Espinoza, Wichita Falls, Roberta Bailey, Louisiana and Lois Prince, Seymour, Texas; brother, Frank Gonzales, Jr., Texas; several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Sandra was very supportive of and involved with her great nieces and nephews.
Her daughter, Cheryse, and her father, Frank Gonzales, Sr., preceded her in death.
Graveside service for Sandra Lowery will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
