MCGUIRE, Jessie E. (Short) age 92 of Kettering, OH, formerly of Berea, KY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband William E. McGuire and 14 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters E. Faye and husband Winn Hamrick, Betty L. Patterson, Norma J. and husband Bishop Ronald Coleman, and Barbara A. Snavely; 18 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Jessie loved spending time in her well groomed yard, gardening and cooking for the special people in her life. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, with Bishop Ronald Coleman officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502 or Hospice of Dayton, in Jessie's memory.
