Victor Lee Hill, 99, longtime resident of Wichita Falls passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with Larry Shields officiating. Interment will follow in the Veterans Garden of Crestview Memorial Park with military honors rendered by the Army Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Hill was born August 29, 1916 in Rock Creek, TX to the late Thomas Anderson Hill and Sarah Leona (Jones) Hill. He attended school there and later joined the Army in 1942. He served throughout World War II in the European Theater and was involved in the 'Battle of the Bulge'. He married Edith Pearl White in 1942 and they moved to Wichita Falls in 1951. He managed the former Wichita Manor Apartments for over 20 years and later was maintenance engineer with Civil Service at Sheppard AFB until retirement in 1978. Victor was a volunteer for 'Meals on Wheels' and was well known at the Red Door and the Senior Zone where he enjoyed playing pool and dancing. Victor was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Wichita Falls and was a man of faith who was confident of his destiny. Victor was preceded in death by his wife, Edith in 1996 and by three brothers, three sisters and by half- brothers and sisters. Victor married Callie Elizabeth Hudson in 2002 and she survives him. Also surviving are his son, Tom Hill and wife Lilly along with eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
