Lois passed away peacefully after suffering rapidly declining health during the past seven months. Born and raised in Astoria, she was a graduate of Portlands Emanuel School of Nursing, where she worked as a hospital nurse for nearly 40 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Helen Simson; and husband, Stanley Stanchfield. Among survivors are her children, Judy, Ron and Doug Olsen and their spouses; and grandson, Okehmos Olsen. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to The Salvation Army or your favorite charity . A memorial gathering will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Francis Xav- iers, 1933 N.E. 181st Ave., Portland. R.S.V.P. to [email protected].
