Edgar Wilson Hannah was the Son of Samuel and Elizabeth Vance Hannah. On March 1, 1898 in Erie County, Pennsylvania, he married Johanne Maria Nielsen (born in Denmark), of Conneaut, Astabula County, Ohio. She was age 26 and Edgar was 45 years old and a widower with 5 children. He had a farm, known as the E.W. Hannah Farm on R.D. #1 in North Girard, Pennsylvania. On cold winter days along Lake Erie, Edgar Hannah would hitch up the team of horses and take his children to school in a sleigh. There was a bed of clean straw in which his children would huddle together for warmth. What a wonderful Fatherly gesture.
