Tupelo-Lillian Franks Love, 87, died at 3 am Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo after a brief illness. Mrs. Love was born on Oct. 30, 1928 in Itawamba County to James Ira Franks and Mertie Turner Franks. She attended public schools there and worked with her family on a beef and dairy farm. She moved to Henning, Tenn. in l971 and lived much of their adult life there only returning to her native northeast Mississippi in March, 2015. She lived briefly at Traceway Manor where she loved the social activity and especially the Church services. She loved gardening, flowers and reading. A Baptist who later attended the Methodist Church, Lillian was a quiet gentle soul who will be missed by her family and friends.

Left with precious memories of their loved one is daughter, Nancy Shurden and her husband, Charles “Ronnie” of Tupelo; her son, Steve Love of Munford, Tennessee. Grandchildren, Ron (Kimberly)Shurden of Olive Branch, Michael Shurden of Tupelo, Christopher (Emily) Love of Nashville, TN and Elizabeth Love of Nashville. 4 great grandchildren, Conner Shurden, Ava Shurden, Scarlett Grace Love and Iris Jane Love. 2 sisters, Nannette Mize (Thomas) of Tupelo and Sue Thompson (Dewey)of Shiloh. A host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charlie Love who died in June, l969 and her siblings, Bumel Franks, Pauline Murphy, Winnie Ruth Loftin, Dorothy Thompson, Burnell “Nell; Bailey, Mary Hendrix, Loraine Spigner and Louise Williams.
