Tulia, Texas—JoAnn Sims, 69, died Friday, November 27, 2015 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
JoAnn Gardner was born on October 3, 1946 in Tulia to William Douglas and Bonnie Gardner, Sr. She grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School in 1965. She married Paul Sims on April 25, 1967. She was a housewife and a mother. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church.
She is survived by her husband: Paul Sims of the home, two sons: Randy Sims of Amarillo and Russell Sims of Claude, one brother: William Douglas Gardner, Jr. and wife Sue of Inola, Oklahoma, one sister: Robbie Crafton and husband Chuck of Sierra Vista, Arizona and three grandsons: Tristan, Joe and Jesse Sims.
