∼NELSONVILLE - George Peter Ashcraft, 87, of Nelsonville, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2015.
Born June 8, 1928, he was an active Christian and a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Nelsonville.
He is survived by his daughter; Georgeann Ashcraft; his sisters, Helen Ashcraft, Carol (Bob) Bolen and Joan O'Neil, the sister who he lived with and who took care of him for many years; his grandchildren, April Dawn (David) Lindsey and Shane Foughty; his great-grandchildren, Kehrstin, Keaton, Matthew, Derrick and Payton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Okey and Phyllis; his brothers Denny and Beryl and his loving sister, Lee.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, followed by graveside services in Canaanville Cemetery, where he will laid to rest beside his late wife, Janis Jarvis Ashcraft.
The family is at the home of Joan O'Neil, 904 Walnut St., Nelsonville.
