James Jonathan (Jim) Teeter, 44, of Windom, Kansas, passed away at 5:02 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013, due to injuries received in an automobile accident, near the intersection of Fifth and Mohawk Road rural McPherson, Kansas.

Jim was born on Aug. 16, 1968, in Lindsborg, Kansas, the son of Billie J. (Buffington) and James A. Teeter

Jim attended the Marquette grade schools and Marquette High school and graduated in 1986 from Little River High School, Little River. He then attended Fort Hays State University, Hays.

Though the years, Jim worked for several area farmers, Keystone Railway, Central Plastics, ATP, and was currently working for Wear Tech in shipping and receiving all of McPherson.

Jim was a member of the Windom Fire Department and an EMT, member of the brotherhood of the Order of the Arrow, an Eagle Scout and an NRA member.

James Jonathan Teeter was united in marriage to Jo Davenport on Sept. 12, 1992, in Great Bend, Kansas.

Surviving family members include his loving and devoted wife Jo Teeter, of Windom; his sons, James Jonathan Teeter, Jr. and (Alex Harder), of McPherson, Roger Dean Jake Loy Teeter, of Windom, Jeanluc William Teeter, of Windom, and Brandon Joseph Teeter, of Windom; his father Jim and Carol Teeter, of rural Marquette, Kansas; his mother Billie Jo and Herb LaMar, of Marquette; his brother Mike Teeter, of McPherson; his nephew Keagun Teeter; several aunts and uncles, cousins other relatives and many friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Dorothy Teeter, John and Helen Buffington; aunts, Wanda Powell and Phyllis Webster; and an uncle Raymond Grubb.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2. 2013, at Windom Grade School, 101 Olive St. in Windom.

Memorials are suggested to The James J. Teeter Memorial Fund or the Pass It On Hunting Program, and they can be sent in care of the Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home; 222 W. Euclid St.; McPherson, Kansas 67460.
