Darlene L. Anderson, 91, died September 16, 2014, at Winter Meadow Homes, Inc., Topeka.

She was born August 23, 1923, at Norton County, Neb., the daughter of Ernest and Edith Jane (McCormack) Stalder.

Darlene married Floyd Lewis Anderson, Jr. July 21, 1942, at Norton. He died April 12, 2008. Mrs. Anderson was a longtime Great Bend resident, being employed as a cook for Central Kansas Medical Center.

Darlene was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was active with United Methodist Women and the funeral dinner committee. She was also a former member of Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a son, Floyd Lewis Anderson, III, and wife Joyce, Powder Springs, Calif.; three daughters, Karen Felzien and husband Paul, Topeka; Judy Anderson, Topeka; Sheryl Burhenn and husband Russell, Topeka; two sisters, Dorothy Lambert, Beaver City, Neb.; Doris Sydow, Trenton, Neb.; a brother, Ernest Stalder, Beaver City, Neb.; six grandchildren;two step-grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Jessica Burhenn; a sister, Maxine Bishop; and by two brothers, Leo and Donald Stalder.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 22, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home with Rev. Lennie Maxwell officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend.
