He was born in Watauga County, February 22, 1939, to Bill and Daisy Adams Rush.
Mr. rush was the owner and operator of Rush Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Triplett Rush, two daughters, one son, ten grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.
Services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Randy Colvat. Graveside services and burial will be private.
