Graveside services for Lillian Elmina Foster, 92, Athens were held October 17 at Colfax Cemetery, with Rev. Jeff Warwick officiating. Services were directed by Eubank Funeral Home, Canton. Mrs. Foster died October 16, 2000 in Athens after a long illness.She was born January 9, 1908 in Grand Saline to Joel Perry and Lelia Adelia White Loper. She grew in and attended school in Grand Saline, and worked as a telephone operator. She married Alton Foster on January 19, 1928 in Mesquite. She moved to Dallas with her husband, and worked in the Defense Plant during WWII. After the war years they traveled with his work in the oil field business. After Alton's death, Lillian moved to Canton then to Athens, residing in the Green Oaks Nursing Home at the time of her death. She attended Colfax Methodist Church.
