Mrs. Boyd was the wife of the late James L. Boyd for 58 years. She was an active member of the Bethel Cumberland Church for over 40 years and of the Barlow Baptist Church for 20 years.
She is survived by two sons, James L. Boyd of Nicholasville and Gregory Smith Boyd of Houston; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2005, with the Rev. Paul Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Wickliffe Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2005, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center. Also, from 9 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2005, until funeral time at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband James L. Boyd. Her parents were Clarence and Gertrude Smith.
