"William Marian Putman, for fifteen years a well known and highly respected citizen of Chillicothe, died at his home, 118 East Clay Street, Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock after a three weeks' illness with the flu which developed into pneumonia.

The body was removed to the Norman Funeral Home where it will remain until the funeral which will be held from the Elm Street Methodist Church Saturday morning at 10 o'clock conducted by the pastor, Rev. W.A. Tetley. The body will be taken to his former home, Reger, for interment.

Mr. Putman was born September 3, 1860, at Linneus. He was married April 17, 1888, to Miss Fannie M. Atkins, whose death occurred in Chillicothe October 14, 1913.

Four children survive, Mrs. R.R. Barr, Irvin A. and Joseph G. of the home address and Hugh A. of Norman, Okla., who arrived at noon today to attend the funeral.
