Minden - Mrs. Ora Bell Young, 91, died yesterday in Schumphert Hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. Young was born in Arcadia and spent most of her life in Minden. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday in the Green-Kleinegger Chapel with Rev. Len Mayall officiating. Burial will be in Minden Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. O.N. Frye of Springhill, Mrs. L.C. Pair of Homer, Mrs. C.W. Miller of Shongaloo and Mrs. Thurston Childs of Minden; one son C.S. Young of Monroe; 34 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

Ora Bell was the second child of James Joshua Spurlock and Ollie Samanthia Martha Caroline Baker Spurlock. Both of her parents are buried in Hurricane Cemetery north of Arcadia in Claiborne Parish.
Ora Bell married Henry Caleb Young on March 10, 1901 in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. Marriage performed by Rev. George Thomas Riser Baker who was a brother of her mother. Witnesses: J.M. Baker, S.C. Caldwell and J.R. Young.
