Billie Gene Fitzgerald Deer 84, of McComb passed away Thursday Nov. 26, 2015 at SMRMC in McComb.
Visitation will be Saturday evening at Jones Funeral Home from 5 until 8 PM and continues there Sunday from 1 until Services at 2 PM. Burial Will follow at Reeves Cemetery in Summit. The Rev. Billy Joe Deer, Rev. Terry Ballard and Rev. Zack Smith will officiate.
Mrs. Deer was born in Pike County on September 5, 1931 to the late Lee and Eunice Brewer Fitzgerald.
She was a retired operator for South Central Bell Telephone Co. where she worked for over 35 years. She was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church. She loved to cook, can, bake, play cards and quilt. And her family said her favorite thing to do was to just "Go".....
Mrs. Deer was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Milton E. Deer Sr.; and one sister Elma Lee Walters.
She is survived by two sons Milton E. Deer Jr. and his wife Nona of McComb; Billy Joe Deer and his wife Rhonda of Brookhaven, MS; six grandchildren Kelly Nevels and her husband Shannon, Joseph Deer and his wife Tanya, Kevin Deer and his wife Micki Jo, Jacob Deer and his wife Nicole, Adrian Hammon and her husband Keith, Jeff Rainey and his wife Brandi; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
