Melba Dean Lee, age 84, a resident of Tina, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Life Care Center of Carrollton, Carrollton, Missouri. Melba was born the daughter of Marvin and Pearl (Sperry) Daugherty on July 23, 1931, in Coloma, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Lester Lee on March 20, 1948, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2011. Melba worked as a meat processor for Banquet Foods in Carrollton, Missouri, for many years. She enjoyed playing Bingo. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Nelson of Carrollton, Missouri, and Deborah Lee of Carrollton, Missouri; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Simmons of Scappoose, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; one son, Larry Lynn Lee; one brother, Charlie Daugherty; and two sisters, Freida Daugherty and Norman Hundley. A graveside service will be held at Rock Branch Cemetery, Tina, Missouri, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
