Theresa/Teresa R. Pankiewicz passed away at age 92 on October 8, 2015. She was the daughter of Salvatore and Carmela Alfarone and grew up in the Italian community of Seattle. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1938.

On June 6, 1944, she married Frank J. Pankiewicz at St Mary's church, Seattle, Father Joseph F. Conway officiating and witnessed by her older sister Mary (Alfarone) Mazzoni and her brother-in-law Amedeo Aurelio Mazzoni. They enjoyed 23 years together before Frank passed away in 1967.

She had been a volunteer at Georgetown Service Center for more than 15 years, where she won the Jefferson Award for community service.

She is survived by her children Jim (Katy), Ron, Gary (June), Sharon Dreimiller (Joe), Shelley Scuderi (Michael), and her grandchildren Joseph (Kelly), Michael, Annie, Thomas, Laura, Steven, Ryan and Grace, great-granddaughters Erin and Devan, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass was held at St. George Church, Seattle, on October 17, 2015. A Celebration of Teresa's Life followed at St. George School. Burial was at Riverton Crest Cemetery.
