Minnie Carr Sams Odell was born in Virginia, October 1883 per 1900 Federal Census, to Robert Isaac and Eliza Jane Carter Sams. She married Paskel Melisha Odell on April 7, 1901 in Henry County Virginia. They moved to Greensboro, N. C. for Paskel (Pak) to work in Moses Cone Cotton Mill. They had one daughter, Ollie Carr Odell, May 28, 1902. Minne Carr Sams Odell died when Ollie was 6 weeks old of pneumonia in Greensboro, N.C. Her burial location was told to me by her husband, Paskel Melisha O'Dell, my grandfather. Most of the Nance Family Cemetery is covered with thick vegetation making the graves difficult to view.
