He was the son of Jack and Fern (Lusk) Potter. On Jun 29, 1958, he married Peggy Nunn, who survives in Lima.
Also surviving are a son, Darren, Lima; a daughter, Amber (James) Straub, Lima; two brothers: Richard, Lima, and Tom (Jan), Bluffton; and a sister, Sharon (Jim) England, Babson Park, FL.
A 1955 graduate of Lima South High School, he retired from Marathon Electric in 2002. He was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed spending winters in Englewood, Florida.
Funeral services will be at Siferd-Orans Funeal Home, with Pastor Bryan Bucher, officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Fairmount Cemetery.
