Lucinda E. 'Cindy' (Lopes) Farias, 73, of Falmouth, died unexpectedly on January 20th in Palm Bay, Florida. She was the wife of the late David P. Farias and the former wife of Lawrence DeMello of Falmouth.
Mrs. Farias was born in Hatchville, MA. She was retired from the Steamship Authority. She also worked at Harvey's Hardware in Falmouth. She was most recently employed as the Functions Manager of the Portuguese American Association where she was an active member. She was a member of the Falmouth Emblem Club.
Survivors include three children, Patricia DeMello of Arcadia, FL, L. Michael DeMello of East Falmouth, MA and Timothy DeMello of N. Falmouth, MA; a brother, William Lopes of Pawtucket, RI.; two sisters, Emily Romiza of Falmouth, MA and Virginia Rosa of East Falmouth, MA; 4 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, a great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She is the sister of the late Armando Lopes, Cidalina Williams and Felix Lopes.
