Ryan Alex Craig, 16, of Hamburg died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Ryan was a resident of Milo community outside Hamburg for the past year and was a resident of Crossett for 15 years. A student at Hamburg High School who was going to into the tenth grade, he was a member of the school choir, the Milo Hunting Club and Egypt Missionary Baptist Church.


He is survived by his parents, Tony and Lisa Posey Craig; a sister, Emily Craig; his grandparents, Jesse "Shorty" and Mary Stanley Craig, all of Hamburg, and Robert and Billie Abbott Burns of Crossett, his great-grandmothers, Madie Stanley of Midland, TX, and Gebernia Posey of Sparkman; three uncles, Stan Craig and Micky Craig of Hamburg and Troy Posey of Crossett; an aunt, Teresa Thornton of Warren and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather and great-grandparents, Charles Posey, Dewey Posey, Nat Stanley and Jesse and Allie Craig.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 23, in the Egypt Missionary Baptist Church with Revs. Buddy Boykin and Dale Crumby officiating. Burial followed services in the Egypt Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronnie and Terry Livingston, Wayne and Phillip Allen, Troy Posey and Derek Maxwell. Honorary pallbearers were his classmates. Funeral arrangements were by Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg.
