Born in Hartford on July 4, 1980, son of Charlotte (Shephard) Rogers of Hartford and Hutson Cox of Hartford, he was a lifelong resident of Hartford and attended Hartford Public Schools and Weaver High School.
Jonathan worked as a chef at several area restaurants and had plans for opening his own restaurant that featured his famous "Wing Recipe".
He was a member of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Windsor where he was involved in many of the activities within the life of the church.
Jonathan had an easy going personality and a great sense of humor and he would do anything for his family and friends.
Music had been a passion of his for many years and he especially enjoyed Rap Music and writing his own lyrics.
Most of all, Jonathan will be remembered as a family man who especially loved children and supporting his daughter, nieces, and nephews. He often referred to his mother as, "The Queen", and he loved attending his younger relative's sporting events.
He leaves to mourn his passing his mother and stepfather, Charlotte C. Rogers and Gary Rogers of Hartford; his father, Hutson Cox of Hartford; his daughter, A'Starie Cox of Hartford; eight brothers and sisters, Shavonne Cox of Hartford, Dominique Rogers of Hartford, Antwan Rogers of Hartford, Phillip Cox of East Hartford, Anthony Rogers and his wife Bertha of Jacksonville, FL, Wayne Rogers and his wife Kathy of Jacksonville, FL, and Sharon Cox and Kim Cox both of Barbados; his maternal grandfather, Rudolph Bowen of Hartford; six aunts; ten uncles; four special nieces and nephews, Chyanne, Euan, Jr., and Jayden Eleuthere, and Sighvon Williams; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
