KATHRYN MOTLEY, 67, of Midland, Texas, a former Snyder resident, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, in Midland.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday in the Becker Funeral Home Chapel, Snyder, with Aubrey Cowan, Pastor of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Hydro, officiating.
Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, Oklahoma.
Services in Midland, Texas were held at 1:00 pm, Monday, August 28, 2006 at the Second Baptist Church, and were under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born May 11, 1939 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Harold and Edith (Mott) Miller. Kathryn was raised outside of Snyder on the family farm. She married Wilbur Motley on December 26, 1956 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She lived in Lawton and Norman, before moving to Liberal, Kansas and Fort Worth, Texas. After living in Fort Worth, she moved to Houston, and lived there until 1981 when she moved to Midland. She was a tax accountant and had her own business in Midland. She was active in church, and lived for her children and grandchildren. She held numerous positions with Ranchland Hills Ladies Golf Association, and also enjoyed bridge and bowling.
She is survived by her husband of the home, sons and daughters-in-law: Lee and Paula Motley of Odessa, Texas, Jeff and Jennifer Motley of Midland, Texas, and Matthew and Michelle Motley of Midland, Texas. Also, a daughter Lisa Motley of Midland, Texas, brother Claude Miller of Snyder, Okla., eight grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Judy Motley and her brother Edwin Miller.
