Lois Helen Shepherd Beck

Lois Helen Shepherd Beck, 93, of Alpine, Utah, passed away peacefully November 23, 2015 at Beehive Homes in Herriman, Utah.
She was born March 29, 1922 in Levan, Utah to Evan Albert and Dora Burgess Shepherd. She married William L. (Gay) Beck October 7, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. He died February 24, 2008.
She received her education in Levan, Alpine, American Fork and later earned her teaching degree from Brigham Young University.
She taught Home Ec in Heber City and Lehi before her marriage and English at Richfield Jr. High. She also was a Media Specialist at Richfield Jr. High and Barrett Elementary in American Fork.
She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in various ward and stake auxiliaries. She loved to teach. Her favorite calling was in family history as she worked on her own family history and helped many others with theirs. She served with her husband in the Provo Temple for 8 years.
*Survivors include a son and three daughters, 20 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 2 serving missions; one sister, Dona.
Services will be held on Friday December 4, 2015 at 11 am in the Mountainville 2nd Ward Chapel 165 North 100 East, Alpine, Utah.
Friends may call at the Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel 6141 West 11000 North, Highland , Utah on Thursday December 3, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm and at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 am before the services.
Burial in Alpine City Cemetery.
