He was born October 12, 1933 to Noah and Myrtle Larkins. Bert fought a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. He was an avid farmer and a big-hearted person who loved hunting.
In addition to his parents, Bert was preceded in death by his brothers, David, Robert and Scott; and sister, Ellen Carol Dean.
Bert is survived by two nephews, James Dean of Church Hill, and Daniel Dean of Richmond, VA; three nieces, Barbara Jones, Rebecca Sharrett and Donna Carter, all of Kingsport; brother-in-law, Dennis Dean of Church Hill; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating.
Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
