"Dale M. Morris, 79 years, of Fremont, NE formerly of Norfolk, NE died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Hooper Care Center in Hooper, NE. Dale was born October 10, 1936 in Battle Creek, NE to Merle and Edith(Timperley)Morris. He lived in Battle Creek and Norfolk, NE prior to moving to Fremont in 2003. He previously drove truck for Hinken Trucking and worked with KBK Builders, as a carpenter, retiring in 2014. He then did deliveries for his grandson at Timme Welding. He was a former member of the Methodist Church at Norfolk. Dale married Patricia Poore in Fremont. She died September 8, 2003.
Dale loved to do carpentry work, building houses and making things for people. He was proud of his family and will be missed by many. He was known as "Poppy" to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by sons, Steven and wife, Donna Morris of Norfolk and Gary and wife, Deb Morris of Fremont; daughters, Cindy and husband, Bryan Dowling of Fremont and Cecelia Voecks of Norfolk; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; and special friend, Bobby Warburton of Norfolk.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and son-in-law, Larry Voecks.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Burial will be at a later date in Norfolk."
