Wade F. Jones, Sr. passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at his home near South Congaree after a long illness. Born October 24, 1942.

He was married to Alma Gayle Miles Jones for more than 47 years. The couple had four children: Susan Jones Kirby, Wade F. Jones, Jr., Stacie Jones Steele and Curtis Jones, all of the Midlands of SC. He had 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was retired from the U. S. Army where he served during the Vietnam War and did several tours in the DMZ in the Republic of South Korea before his retirement. He was later the Warehouse Manager for Rhodes Furniture Company in northeast Columbia where he finally retired after many years.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, located at 200 State Street, with burial to follow in Olympia Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 PM on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the funeral home.
