Carlos Torres, 29, of Port Arthur passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

He was born on May 26, 1977 in Torrejon Air Base, Spain. He lived in the Port Arthur area for 26 years after moving from South Carolina. He was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School. He worked in the area as a construction worker, and a member of Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church. Carlos was a loving son, brother, father and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his father, Rodolfo "Rudy" Torres, Jr. and his wife Yolanda of Port Arthur; mother, Charlotte Saldana and her husband Jaime of Houston; son, Alec James Torres of Groves; daughter, Hannah Torres of Groves; sister, Juana Rosa Rumsey and her husband Daniel of Austin; nephew, Bryce Mouton of Austin; great grandmother, Dorsie Bell Lynch of Rutledge, TN; grandmother, Maria Soliz of Port Arthur; numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
