Charles Sweet, 70, died at 10:15 am Sunday at his home here following an illness of several years.
The body was taken to the Easton Funeral Home in Colfax and will be returned to his home Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm (daylight) Tuesday at Colfax Christian Church. The Rev. Everet Millard will officiate. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 7, 1879, in Hudson, son of George and Ella Sweet. He married Katherine Heins Feb. 23, 1905, in Bloomington.
Surviving are his wife; three children: Mrs. Irene Morefield, and Ralph Sweet, both of Colfax and Mrs. Lila Helmers of Anchor; a sister, Mrs. Nell Orton of Oronoco, Minn. and eight grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by a sister and a brother.
