Council Grove - Nelda Virginia Wilson, 76, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Thursday, November 19th, at Diversicare of Council Grove.
She was born December 20, 1938, in Morton, Texas, to Robert and Frankie (Reed) Waller. She married John Wilson on June 24, 1957 in Lovington, New Mexico.
Nelda was a member of the Council Grove Christian Church, Council Grove Country Club and a past member of Council Grove Jaycee Janes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Radford Wilson, grandson Zachery Wilson, great-granddaughter Monica Barrett and sister Ruby Collins.
Nelda is survived by her husband John, of the home; daughter Patricia Wilson; grandchildren, Jessica Barrett and husband Ray, Lisa Kempf, Isaac Wilson and Cody Wilson; great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Macy Wilson and Lyla and Carter Barrett.
At Nelda’s request, cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment will be held at Sunny Slope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Council Grove Elementary School and may be sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, PO Box 273, Council Grove, KS 66846.
