Geneva Laverne McConnell, 81, passed away November 22, 2015, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital, Idabel, OK. She was born April 11, 1934, in Telephone, TX, to Rafie and Hattie (Boatner) Williams.
Geneva enjoyed gardening, yard work, flowers, the outdoors, nature and wildlife, hunting and being with her family. Geneva and George McConnell were married August of 1951.
Geneva is survived by daughters, Gail Bates, of North Little Rock, AR, and Vickie and Tim McGehee, of Valliant, OK; sisters, Emma Tidmore, of Idabel, OK, Faye Russell, of Redding, CA, Elaine Williams, of Union Town, AR; daughter-in-law, Donna McConnell, of Sherman, TX; grandchildren, Billy McConnell, Kevin and Brittany Bates, Julie and Phillip Rogers, Santana McConnell, Mario Rios, Krystle Rios, Jysse and Dottie McGehee, Priscille and Rodney Cameron, Krysti and Johnny Whisenhunt, Michael and Nicole Duke; 15 great-grandchildren; special niece, Diana and Lloyd; other nieces and nephews; and her best friends, Nita and Judy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sister, Betty Snyder, brother, Rafie (Sonny) Williams; sons, Billy and Kelly; daughter, Kathy McConnell; and son-in-law, Roy Bates.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at 10:00 A.M., at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK, with interment to follow at Watson Cemetery, Oak Hill, OK.
