ONE FINAL GIFT

SCATTER ME NOT TO RESTLESS WINDS,
NOR TOSS MY ASHES TO THE SEA.
REMEMBER NOW THOSE YEARS GONE BY...
WHEN LOVING GIFTS I GAVE TO THEE.

REMEMBER NOW THE HAPPY TIMES...
THE FAMILY TIES WE SHARED.
DON'T LEAVE MY RESTING PLACE UNMARKED
AS THOUGH YOU NEVER CARED.

DENY ME NOT ONE FINAL GIFT
FOR ALL WHO COME TO SEE...
A SINGLE LASTING PROOF THAT SAYS
I LOVED.....AND YOU LOVED ME.

Paul - - my wonderful friend (first) and my cousin 1x removed secondly.... our friendship transcended the 'family' bonds; you can ask Paul's sisters, brother-in-law and his daughter. Paul and I indeed had a special friendship!

Paul was born to Paul Alexander Borak, Sr. and his wife, Adeline Lightcap; the last child, and only son, of their three children.

After high school Paul joined the U. S. Army. In 1952 he was in basic training in Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. Paul was in the Army from 1952 through 1954. He furloughed home to St. Louis in 1953 and after basic training he was stationed at March Air Force Base in Riverside, California.

After the Army Paul returned to St. Louis and it was there he met and married Helen Louise Grant. Paul adopted her son from a previous marriage and in the early 1960's Paul and Helen began their own family. They had one daughter and three sons (two of which were twins).

Paul was a music lover as well as being a residential painter; working on "the richest houses and areas, as my clients were bank presidents, judges, lawyers..even brain surgeons..." {Quote from a letter from Paul to Conni-2012} Paul owned Paul Borak Painting Company in St. Louis and he worked in this profession for many, many years. When I (Conni) went to St. Louis in November of 2012 to meet Paul he showed me many of these buildings. After his death his daughter found quite a number of photographs of some of the buildings he painted. He was a proud man and proud of the work he did during his painting career! Paul told me stories of tall scaffolding, shaky scaffolding, biting-cold weather, as well as 'live-wires' from the bus systems....any of which could make a man opt for a different career!

Paul is missed so much by his daughter and her family, his sisters, a brother-in-law, and of course...me! We lost a very gallant man, a loving man, a father, a brother, a grandfather, a great-grandfather and cousin.... Paul was preceded in death by his father, mother and his twin sons Thomas Walter Borak and James Frank Borak.

♥♥ To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die ♥♥ I miss you s.o. very much dear Paul ~ Cousin Conni meow~meow
