BINNIE, Barclay -
The family regrets to announce the death of Barclay P. Binnie who died suddenly August 8, 2013 at our cabin. Barc was born June 11, 1933 in Lumsden, SK. He lived on the family farm at Tregarva until moving to Saskatoon in 1953. Barc was predeceased by his parents Ted and Vina; brothers Gerald and Al (Betty); sister Betty (Fred) Gnam; sister-in-law Eve Binnie; and brother-in-law Harold Jorgenson. Barc is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joye; his daughter Shelley (Cyril) Spence; son Dwayne (Susan) Binnie; grandchildren Carson and Braden Spence, Jeri (Tim Hale), Reed (Jessica), Angela and Caitlin; and one great-grandson Oliver Hale; brothers Don, Lorne (Gail), Ken (Mabel); sisters Eunice Jorgenson, Gwen (Norm) Henderson; and sister-in-law Gwen (Garry) Greenshields. Barc drove for the Saskatoon Transit System for 30 years. He was an active member of McClure United Church and a member of the Nutana Curling Club for many years. The Memorial Service will be held at McClure United Church, 4025 Taylor Street East, Saskatoon, SK, on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Reception and fellowship following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, the McClure United Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
