Services for Roger Dale Norman, Sr., 71, will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Paul Conquest officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 11:00 am until service time.

Mr. Norman, a former business owner and operator of Sonic Drive Inn in McKenzie and former truck driver, died Monday, November 23, 2015 at his residence. He was born on March 29, 1943 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Haskell and Novice Bell White Norman. He was a member of Long Heights Baptist Church in McKenzie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Douglas Norman, a sister JoAnn McDaniel, and three brothers: James Edward Norman, Billy Jack Norman, and Jay Roy Norman.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Billie Alice Kirk Norman of McKenzie, a daughter Debby (Gary) Flippin of McKenzie, three sons: R. Dale Norman, Jr., Matthew (Cassandra) Norman, and Marcus (Laura) Norman all of McKenzie, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers serving will be Jon Flippin, Nick Flippin, Zebadiah Norman, Justin McMackin, Mitchell Norman, and Zachary Norman. Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
