Lillian June Rowe, 84, of Monroeville, formerly of Lower Burrell, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville.

Born June 8, 1921, in the Fairmont City section of New Bethlehem to the late Arthur and Lilly Dawson Mills, she moved to Lower Burrell in 1940 where she lived until moving to Monroeville in 1984.

She attended Vandergrift schools.

Mrs. Rowe was a former member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Kensington. She enjoyed spending time with her siblings, babysitting her great-grandchildren and playing bingo.

She is the beloved mother of Donna K. (Frederick) Woodward of Monroeville, Donald E. (Terry) Rowe of Slickville, and Diane Lee (Daniel E.) O'Neil of Plum; beloved sister of NelleMae Scherf, Delores Evans, Thomas Mills, and Jacqueline Wilks, all of Lower Burrell, Joyce Robinson of Allegheny Township, and Edith (Donald) Walker of Gilpin; beloved grandmother of Karen (Thomas) Heppner, Kathy (Todd) Brown, Kimberly (David) Dahlstrom, Lisa (Kevin) Brown, Kristin (Thomas) Last, Michelle (Frank) Carney, Tina (Paul) Jobe, Jennifer (John) Dupal, and Patrick, Sarah and Ian O'Neil; beloved stepgrandmother to Michele and Daniel O'Neil; great-grandmother of 22; and stepgreat-grandmother of five.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis R. Rowe, in 1978; and two sisters, Juanita McGinnis and Elizabeth Adams.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., New Kensington, where a service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Marsha Adams, pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church, Arnold, will officiate. Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
