Carol Barnes-Hightower of Delran, passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at home. She was 66.

Born in Greenville, N.C., Carol was a 1967 graduate of Crestwood High School in Chesapeake, Va. She also attended The Juliet Gibson Career & Finishing School in Washington, D.C.

Carol was employed by The American Math Association, The Washington, D.C., Convention & Visitors Bureau, The City of Miami, and The Universal Foundation for Better Living. She was an active employee with The Willingboro Recreation Department in Willingboro.

She attended Delaware Valley Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her mother, Doris Stephens Barnes, Carol leaves to mourn and cherish precious memories, her father, Willie E. Barnes of Chesapeake, Va.; siblings, Marietta Barnes Cowart of Virginia Beach, Va., Willie Donell Barnes of Atlanta, Ga., Adreon Carlet Barnes and Jeffrey Barnes (Darlene) of Chesapeake, Va., and Emily Drusilla Barnes (Neil Hoffman) of Washington, D.C.; and numerous nieces, nephews, loving aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Homegoing services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Delaware Valley Baptist Church, 493 Beverly Rancocas Rd., Willingboro. A viewing will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, and also from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the church.

Interment will be Monday, Nov. 23, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Norfolk, Va..
