He was at Trenton at the reception of George Washingtion when he was on his way to New York to be inaugurated 1st President of the U.S. While the ladies and children strew flowers in his path, Washington told them to give their praise to their Maker. Gerome was believed to live at Hunterdon County, New Jersey, Turbot Twp. He moved to Hunterdon Northumberland and Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Gerome and Revecca were neighbors of the Indians in Lycoming County. He was Democrat, then a Whig. Gerome is the English spelling of Hironimus.
