Houston - Mrs. Inez Dotson, 82, of Houston passed away at Floy Dyer Nursing Home, Sunday, November 22, 2015, after a brief illness. She was born in Thorn, MS to Elliott Gilfoy and Ida Blansett Brassfield on January 7, 1933. She was a factory worker during her working career, a homemaker, and a member of the Assembly of God.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 23, at Southern Funeral Chapel in Houston, at 2 pm with Brother Bobby Brock officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 am Monday until service time. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Houston.
Mrs. Dotson is survived by her daughters Glenda Bailey (Clyde), and Linda Bailey (Odie) all of Houston, and Marilyn Atkins (Ray) of Columbus; a son Phillip Dotson of Vaiden; one sister Mable Gann (Bill) of Houston; 11 grandchildren, and Many great-grands and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by he parents, her husband Dorse Dotson, her brothers Jim, Rex, Claude, and Elliott "Bud" Brassfield, and a sister Lizzie Buford, and her step-daughter Dorothy Harris.
