Burl was the son of Leonard David and Alice (Kincade) Crawford. He was married to Maebelle (Frakes) on 5 Nov. 1921 in Chillicothe, Livingston Co, Missouri. They had one daughter Ruth Frances Crawford born 1923 Missouri and died in 1992 Missouri. Burl died in the County Hospital in Chicago, Cook Co, Illinois. His body was returned to Spickard Sunday morning and sent to Schooler Funeral Home. Rev. Leroy Steel pastor of the Spickard Baptist Church was in charge of the services. He was laid to rest in North Evans Cemetery.
